Owen Conforte

Guitarist and vocalist Owen Conforte has been a staple in the Greater Portland music community for the past 7 years as both a band leader (OC and the Offbeats) and a sideman (Fogcutters Big Band, Dean Ford and the Beautiful Ones). Graduating with a Bachelors in Music Performance from the University of Southern Maine in 2012, he brings his knowledge and skills as a jazz and classical guitarist to the stage and the music school.

Nicholas Rausch

Nick has been playing the guitar for over 25 years and teaching since 2003. He holds a Bachelors degree in Music Performance with a concentration in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern Maine, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He has had the pleasure of studying classical guitar under the direction of Keith Crook, as well as jazz guitar under Gary Wittner. Nick has also immersed himself in continuing jazz studies with local guitar. Nick likes to teach full fretboard awareness, allowing students to navigate the guitar with confidence and he teaches most styles of music.  

Duane Edwards 

Bassist Duane Edwards is an accomplished musician currently residing in Portland, Maine. Duane has performed throughout New England, across the United States, and Canada; and at illustrious venues such as Lincoln Center. He studied jazz at the University of Maine at Augusta with Boston bassist Greg Loughman, Thelonious Monk Institute Award recipient Steve Grover, Richard Nelson, Frank Mauceri, and Chuck Winfield. Duane has also studied with jazz heavyweights Ben Allison and Drew Gress. He performs in a variety of groups with styles ranging from jazz to rock to cuban; and has shared the stage with musicians such as Chuchito Valdes, Jon Langford, Ben Taylor, Trombone Shorty, and Philadelphia Poet Laureate Yolanda Wisher. His music has been featured on All About Jazz radio and across the United States. Mr. Edwards currently teaches at the Midcoast School of Music in Portland.  He is also the jazz bass professor at the University of Maine at Augusta, Bowdoin, and Colby.
